Orphaned Solar Systems – We'll Adopt Yours
Your original installer is gone? No problem. Lighthouse has been rescuing off-grid and grid-tied solar systems across Cochise County and beyond for years.
What is an Orphaned Solar System?
Many systems installed 10–20+ years ago — or even recently — have no support because the original company closed, moved, or stopped servicing rural areas. The result: failing inverters, outdated batteries, no monitoring, and lingering code or safety issues.
We handle any brand — unlike some urban shops limited to a single technology. Whether you inherited a system with the house, your installer disappeared, or your equipment just needs experienced hands, Lighthouse can adopt it.

I'm so glad to have found Lighthouse Electric and Solar! They come and do what needs to be done and then it works! And my system, (rooftop vacuum tube collectors, 158 gallon DHW tank, radiant floor heating, and excess heat dump), is challenging even for seasoned professionals. Plus they don't beat me up with absurd pricing. That's a lot to appreciate!

Lighthouse Electric and Solar were awesome to work with. They went above and beyond to get my solar panels installed and hooked up to my Eco Flow unit that I purchased one year ago. A big thank you to Dave, Josh and the entire crew!

Joshua and David were fantastic to work with in resolving my SolarEdge inverter issue. They answered my call on a Friday afternoon, and by Tuesday morning, everything was fixed. Both were professional, knowledgeable, and offered a fair price. It's a relief to have skilled and reliable solar power installers right here in Cochise County. I highly recommend them!

I can't recommend the crew at Lighthouse Electric enough. I was under a massive time crunch to get my off-grid solar system up and running, and these guys were absolute lifesavers. Not only did they meet the deadline, but they actually exceeded what I'd envisioned for the whole setup. The entire process was no-nonsense and easy. Jenna and Joshua were great to work with on the initial planning side, and Dave, Chris, Charles, and the rest of the install crew were super cool, hard-working guys. Having the power live has been a total game-changer.

I was so glad to find such a helping solar company to come to Sierra Vista to my house. Joshua understood my concerns when we talked by phone. Dave checked out my solar system thoroughly — a 20 year old one at that. I was the third owner and knew zero, but Dave knew it through and through. He resolved my main issue and gave me good options for later. This is an affordable company — reliable, respectful, and they help the owner get the most from their solar system.

Great people, everyone knew what they were doing and were very professional and respectful to me and my property. I had a Kohler generator installed and everything went smoothly with the job. Thanks to Joshua, Jenna, Chris, Dave and the rest of the gang! I recommend them highly AAAAAAAA+ Previous to hiring them I had someone that installs Generac generators out of Tucson, it was a smaller unit and they wanted $10,000 more than Lighthouse, and honestly they were over priced and kind of pushy, so go with Lighthouse if you need a whole house generator.

From initial consultation to job completion, I found everyone from Lighthouse Electric & Solar professional, friendly, courteous, hard-working, willing to explain things I didn't know, and paying great attention to details. It's doubtful their collective experience and knowledge of NEC, product options, and all phases of solar systems design can be beat in Cochise County. Their rates are fair, and my estimate was close to the actual final amount. Highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work on my old lead-acid system?
Yes. We work on lead-acid, AGM, and lithium systems. We'll assess condition and recommend safe options for repair, replacement, or upgrade.
How far will you travel in Cochise County?
We serve all of Cochise County and surrounding areas of Southeastern Arizona. A rural travel adder may apply for longer distances — we're upfront about it during the initial call.
What if my system needs a full upgrade?
We'll lay out clear options. Sometimes a few targeted repairs are enough; other times a partial or full upgrade is the safer, more cost-effective path. You decide.
Do you offer maintenance plans after adoption?
We don't sell blanket monthly maintenance plans. Instead, once we've adopted your system, we offer ongoing maintenance when it's appropriate for your situation — so you're only paying for service that actually helps you.
